Advice and Remuneration
As insurance broker, we offer advice, brokerage and supervisory activities. Our services cover site inspections, risk inventory and assessment, calculations of insured sums, a claims management as well as training courses on specific insurance-related aspects for our customers’ staff.
The remuneration, called broker’s commission, for activities vis-à-vis customers is customarily covered by the insurance company. The broker’s commission is an integral part of the insurance premium. Variations thereof shall explicitly be agreed upon between us and the customer. Particularly for the brokering of so-called net products, a separate remuneration agreement, a fee, is generally stipulated, obliging the customer to pay the remuneration. Net products are products for which the broker’s commission is not included in the insurance premium. A combination of commission and fee is feasible. In addition to these remuneration types, maiergroup is able to obtain further commissions from various insurers, but to a minor extent, dependent on risk experience. These payments are used among other things for the promotion of our customers’ risk management.
